Am I qualified to teach you how to fly fish ? Yes I have been examined by a group called the Salmon & Trout Association, the governing body of Game Fishing. They have made sure that I understand the mechanics of casting while possessing an in depth knowledge of knots, flies, fish species, fishing methods and safety.  I have also passed the Advanced Examination which is only possible having completed STANIC. This test is known as APGAI and stands for Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor, it is the highest level of qualification obtainable in the U.K.

Nick Hart Fly Fishing has set out to provide the very best in up to date tuition and guidance. In my mind it is not about wearing the correct clothes or using fashionable tackle, the main objective of fly fishing should be to relax and have fun !

Fly Fishing, I firmly believe, should be for all. Unfortunately it is not uncommon to hear that the sport is regarded as snobby, stuck up and far too complicated for the average working chap. Nothing could be further from the truth !
